Sri Lanka-Youth after war

In 2017, I was invited by the Canadian NGO Wusc (World University Service of Canada) to document youth life in Sri Lanka. I travel all over the island and often enter small communities or remote villages, where students who have received a grant to study live. Many of them are trained to work directly either in hotels or as mechanics. It is the young people themselves who choose. After the three years of study Wusc guarantees through agreements that the boys will definitely be contracted. The days of the civil war that decimated lives and destroyed the country from 1983 until 2009 seem distant, for now.
